Just got back from Brussels [Centraal] with hands full...could not even rumage through more clothes' staks...today was the last day of sales...and believe me queues everyone...and you could tell that you're in a different place because french then becomes the official language rather than dutch and you hardly find anyone who knows how to speak english...what a shame!! why are the french speaking so proud of their own language that they don't even consider to enrich themselves learning another language...that's a big disgrace...and they are even less cordial and even somewhat arrogant with the customers?! why is this so?!

Last One...

But we can never come to admit this for this serves its purpose as an impetus that propels us to keep on searching...to keep up with our quest for more...for our thirst is never satiated!
Why we always want more? The more we have the more we want...It is now that I can understand what M. Teresa once said, that the poor are rich and the rich are poor...how true and wise! Well only if we get to share our riches...what then?! What if everybody cared?! What if that everybody is somebody and that somebody is me?! Indeed, wherever I may go, wherever I may be, whatever I may do, I am to share what I am...I am to walk round and shine some light upon the gloomy faces surrounding me...I smile and wave at many people on the road...who would be taken off guard and think that I'm weird yet weird as I may seem in their eyes, they see the beauty of such gestures and get to respond and react by returning back any one of these gestures...how contagious!! It's all about ripples...let's throw out stones and see the ripples...
Throw more stones...never cease...

Gift of Life...
This is an excerpt clip from the film "Brokeback Mountain" featuring a love nascent...One of the starring roles was played by the now deceased Heath Ledger - the Australian heartrob...who was found dead in his room at the young age of 28...many were those who paid him tribute for they knew that his passing away was a tragic loss...many were shocked and saddened by what they called "tragedy"...what a tremendous loss...Indeed, each life is as such...May we all take head of this gift which was gratitously granted to us...It's a blessing that we have to cherish. So let's take it into our stride to assume responsability of each other's lives. Let us shed some light and grant some hope to others when it is only natural for them to despair...to give up and give in...
A smile alone can make a difference...smile and shine unto others....
Crocus Crocus...Stay with Me...
Hope that my crocus is not dying out...It is an indoor plant that should have natural light all the while and that it be in a surrounding temperature between 12 - 14 degrees celsius...and that it should be watered at least two times a week...Well it's on my window sille...so it has all the natural light admitted unto it...I'm watering it twice a week and I'm not sure about the surrounding tempearture...it could be less...though some of the flowers seem to be dying out the green stalks seem to be growing wilder...don't know whether I should take this as a good sign...
We'll see...hopefully it will get to stay with me...
We'll see...hopefully it will get to stay with me...
Week Plan
How long do I have to wait Lord?! haha...Well exam period is almost over and I've to say that so far so good...I'm well pleased with how everything went. There is still one to go on Wednesday and then I'm planning to head off to the gym to enroll at the fitness centre to start off doing some proper work out...I usually get there to jog and run around the tracks...but now it's time to get to proper business. On Thursday I also plan to visit Brussels to see whether there are some decent sales...with a good Polish friend of mine [Zuzanna] hopefully there are still some items which we could purchase...can't wait for that either...I'm never keeping up to my resolutions...to teach myself to save some money rather than spending it all on clothes...what is it with me?! It seems as if I never have enough...Gssshhhh.
And Friday comes along...and then it's the time to party...
Will get back to you as the days roll by...

T.M.
These two characters I got to know about on Saturday/Sunday night! When I got home after work at my door I found a comic book of Calvin & Hobbes, a box of Mignonnette Cote d'Or chocolates as well as a Crocus plant...with a note sticked inside saying:
Dear Dorianne,
I was in the neighbourhood and wanted to wish you strength and hope in these trying days. Don't Despair. To help you in that regard, I'll leave you with three little items:
1. Chocolate to give you energy;
2. Calvin & Hobbes to help you relax;
3. And a Crocus to remind you that things will improve and that there are really brighter days ahead!
Stay in touch.
Kindliest Regards,
T. Merrigan.

How sweet to have someone helping you carry the burden of the troubles that weigh you down.
May the good Lord find us worthy servants in bearing his love for others; by sheding some light and hope when it is only naturally to despair...

Seven Oaks...
how true...if you just think that the rest are like yourself than you're too naive...and things which you could not foresee happen to you...this is to tell you that on friday i joined a couple of friends for a drink at a small cosy discoteque here in leuven...who were about to leave back home each to their respective countries...knowing that this was a way how to bid them farewell i took my camera with me and every now and then i took out of my bag to take photos of us together...i left my bag on the platform whereby everyone got to place their coats and jackets...i stayed next to it so that I could continuously keep an eye on it...it was all so great...we had so much fun. But then at one point I happened to turn away and after a while remembered to check on my bag which I could not see no more. I instantly went to where I had put it and found under a huge pile of jackets...I opened it to check on the contents but then I realized that my camera as well as my cellphone were gone...voulaaa...i never thought that this would happen to me...but it did...you never know...i do have my own suspects but you can never say for sure who the person was...
What is done is done and one just has to keep on rolling...learning from the past as we live the present and face the future. I rushed to the police station but it was closed...headed back to "Seven Oaks" went to the bartender and asked if they have a CCTV installed and he said yes we do but the platform which was the place where I placed my bag is not covered!! Lucky me!!
Then I headed back home and tried to get some sleep thinking that there was nothing I could do.
Then what came to mind was a freephone number which someone had said to me some days before which I could still remember so I decided to call on this number from the college's landline...and it was the operator to whom I explained my situation...he said to me that I should go to another police station which is at the outskirts of the city of Leuven. I kindly asked him if he could put me through and I talked to the police officer on night duty and I was told to go there and then to file a report so that they could leave to "Seven Oaks" and check on the persons and if luck would be on our side the person would be caught red handed...so I immediately left and ran all the way to this police station but to no avail they did not send anyone as they had various reports already...so I guess I had to forget about having my stuff back...
What I have to do now is save some money and get these things replaced...
I'm off to revise for today's test...which is at around 3pm...
Keep me in your prayers buddies...

Busy Bee ...Allegro Andante
This is when one of my cloze buddies decided to have a photo session...So many people made fun of us...we were the ridicule of many...but believe me it was fun. It was a healthy therapy! And we both decided to do this some other time again!
This was just before I got to meet up with some very high ranked people [archbishop] and delegate together with some other youths...it was a splendid even and never have I thought I would feel as comfortable in their presence. We had some sharing and it was all helpful even for us to keep upholding to our Christian values...even if we are few we could still make a big difference in today's world...Let's face there only need to be one person to set the ball rolling...So let's get going and keep on moving...Let's keep up the momentum...

Farewell/Christmas Party '07
Kemm nigi sew hux jien...ma nafx ghax qed nhares banda ohra...nahseb ghamizli xi wiehed!!
I had to update this photo now as I had no access to internet services back home...This is at the house farewell/christmas party '07...it was great...we invited our friends over to our college and there were many who brought liqours...we had excess of it and so when later on some law students joined we decided to have a party after party...but it was only me who joined with these law students and we all went to a what is here called a fakbar...[faculty bar] but there was no nice music being played there so we headed of to a very nice cosy discoteque called "Seven Oaks"...We had a great time!!We stayed out till early in the morning and then a few hours later I had to take the train to Brussels Airport to get the KM420 flight to Malta...all exhausted.
Pollefeyt and God
He is found weeping in his inner chambers for only a co-sufferer God is a credible God!!
Well...I had my first oral test today and it was all about Post-Holocaust Theology and Jewish and Christian Relations....I had some three questions to answer but had barely any time to prepare for some two of them...yet then I managed to answer the three of them...I did give a straight to the point answer for once. This method, however, seemed to have provoked Prof. Pollefeyt to ask further provoking questions...as if to test the water and at one point in time I was stuck I was going on the right track and then all of a sudden another track came into view I had to keep focus not to lose direction but there was some fog on the way and knew not where I was heading so I just had keep pushing forward with the intent to get there! Hopefully, I'll get to do well!

May things be felt even in their absence...more so in their absence...perplexing as this may sound!! [David Patterson - Sun Turned to Darkness]

This was some weeks ago...when all the girls in the family [mother's family] decided to get together for dinner at a chinese restaurant to catch up with each other...wow we've all moved in all and all different directions...some are married and already have kids...some are planning to do so within the coming years...some have decided to just enjoy being young and engaged themselves travelling round the globe to see what lies beyond the shores of our islands...
It felt so good to get together again...but to say the honest truth i felt out of tune...i felt somewhat different, at times too different...but we're all happy and life has treated us all good, and we're all very grateful...
And for those of you who are still wandering whether we had a transvestite in our midst...hehe
He is our cousin Peter who is a designer back in Czech Republic...he is quite well off and owns some pieces of art which were reproduced in limited editions and he is together with Elton John, Madonna, Celine Dion the owner of such pieces...
What a colourful spectrum we were...
